Camp 4 a Cause

Understanding that children growing up in today’s world are surrounded by opportunities to give back, we decided to create Camp 4 a Cause to help children learn how to utilize their own time and talent to support a cause (of their own choice) and to have fun while doing so.  Camp 4 a Cause instills ownership within each student to create something special and in doing so, students gain a greater sense of self and society.

Camp programs include the Science & Business of a Lemonade Stand, Slimeology, Music, Cooking Science, Dance, Sports, Arts & Crafts and Robotics & Engineering.  Camp runs from Jun 4-15, 2012.

Slimeology

Looking for an oozing good time? With Slimeology, we’ll take a hands-on, scientific look at how plastic is engineered and used in a variety of products. We’ll even fashion our own slime and create attractive packaging to entice our new customers to buy. It’s sure to be gobbly-gook  fun all around!

Packaging the hand sanitizer

During Healthology, the kids learned about target markets, features and benefits.  Before making their toothpaste commercials, we took the kids to some of the stores in the mall to see if they could determine the target markets by looking at the products in the store window.  They did amazingly well and could even communicate the market segments between Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn.
