This month’s fable:
Wiley Walter Willingham had a wonderful entrepreneurial spirit. The Merry, Happy Winter Holiday Season (we are allowed to say that, aren’t we?) was rapidly approaching, and Walter came up with a great idea that would make him some big bucks. I will redesign the widget, make it better, make it prettier, make it in 14K gold and I will sell it for the same price as a regular widget thought Walter. His sister, Wanda Willingham, suggested he purchase a Biz in a Boxx to determine the right pricing for this amazing new Walter Willingham Widget. “I don’t need no stinkin Biz in a Boxx,” whined Walter. So to make a long story short, Walter made his widgets, people went wild, he sold them all and wound up in Debtor’s Prison.
Moral
With a Biz in a Boxx Walter would have priced his product realistically, known what his costs and overhead were and made a profit. Oh well!! And by the way…what in the world is a widget?
